TRANMERE put in a doggedly determined defensive performance to claim a Youth Alliance point against unbeaten Walsall.
Rovers were under the cosh for much of the North West Conference contest but maintained their discipline.
It was only the third time they have kept a clean sheet this season.
Head of youth, Shaun Garnett, said: “We showed a lot of grit and determination. We started the game well. Walsall had a lot of possession over the 90 minutes and everyone did their job well in keeping them out.”
TRANMERE travel to Stockport County in a Youth Alliance fixture on Saturday, kick-off 11am.
