THE Premier League title is now Manchester City’s to lose.
I cannot believe United didn’t go for it once they went behind on their showdown at Eastlands. It was most unlike a Sir Alex Ferguson side, and I think they really missed a trick. United couldn’t get the ball to Rooney, and Yaya Toure and Gareth Barry comfortably controlled the United three of Ji-Sung Park, Michael Carrick and Paul Scholes.
While City played well without being outstanding, they were better than United in every single department.
Not playing Antonio Valencia was a strange one from Ferguson. He has been consistently impressive since returning from injury, whereas Nani is a lot more unpredictable.
I think City will now do it. Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Carlos Tevez will be relishing the prospect of simply winning two games to win the league.
