TRANMERE are in line for more awards to mark their storming start to the season.
Ronnie Moore is shortlisted for the League One manager of the month award for September while striker Jake Cassidy is nominated as player of the month.
Moore, the divisional manager of the month for August, boasts a record of four wins and two draws during September that can’t be matched by the other nominees: Keith Curle of Notts County (three wins and three draws) and Walsall’s Dean Smith (four wins, one draw and one defeat).
Cassidy, a 19-year-old striker on loan to Tranmere from Wolves, scored seven goals during September, including a hat-trick against Colchester United at the start of the month.
The other nominees for League One are Florent Cuvelier of Walsall, a young Belgian midfielder on loan from Stoke City, and MK Dons defender Shaun Williams.
Tranmere’s Andy Robinson won the League One player award in August.
The winners will be announced on Friday.
