Widnes eye up Saints youngster

RUGBY LEAGUE: Widnes Vikings are set to make a move for St Helens winger Ian Hardman.

Vikings coach Steve McCormack has been monitoring the Widnes-born youngster for some time and it’s believed he has discussed a loan move with Saints chief Daniel Anderson for the final six months of the season.

Meanwhile, Widnes’s other target Halifax loose-forward Phil Joseph is on the verge of signing for National League Two outfit Oldham.
