WARRINGTON captain Adrian Morley is in danger of missing his side’s crucial final game of the regular engage Super League season through suspension.
The England prop has played in all 26 of his side’s League matches this year but was placed on report for allegedly kneeing an opponent during the Wolves’ 44-24 defeat at Castleford on Sunday and was yesterday charged with the grade B offence.
Morley will appear before the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee today knowing any suspension would rule him out of his side’s final game at Huddersfield on the weekend of September 5-6. Warrington need to win to clinch a home tie in the play-offs.
Meanwhile, Warrington's head of strength and conditioning Paul Stridgeon is to join the Rugby Football Union's elite rugby department as a fitness coach with England. He joined the Wolves at the start of the season from Wasps.
And in another Wolves development yesterday it was announced Featherstone forward John Bastian is to leave as head of youth development at Leeds to take up a similar role at the Halliwell Jones sStadium.
