WIDNES received a boost ahead of tonight’s Co-operative National League One play-off eliminator when Jim Gannon had his one-match ban overturned.
The Vikings were initially set to be without Gannon for the trip to Halifax after the disciplinary hearing in Leeds.
He was placed on report following an incident in the final game of the regular season at Whitehaven but won an appeal last night.
Vikings forward Michael Ostick was sent off later in the game for an alleged high tackle. He was fined £100, but did not receive a ban.
TONIGHT: (7.45 unless stated): National League One: Halifax v Widnes 7.30.
