Vikings’ training already underway

RUGBY LEAGUE: The new look Widnes Vikings have returned to pre-season training four weeks early as they look to get their season off to a flying start after not making the Grand Final for the first time since relegation from the top flight.

Despite some Vikings backroom staff in Australia for the World Cup it’s business as usual for the players in Widnes as pre-season training sets in under acting coach John Stankevitch (pictured). He said: “We need to hit the ground running and be mentally strong, the lads have shown great determination.”
