Birkenhead Park recruit Waterloo players

BIRKENHEAD PARK have recruited several ex-Waterloo players for the forthcoming season.

They include the vastly experienced former coach David Blythe who can figure at lock or back-row forward.

Back-row man Njike Tchakoute who is a Camaroon international has also signed up along with centre Gary Lunt whilst hooker Christian Jones has returned to the Upper Park from Blundellsands.

Fly-half Tony Handley stays as player and backs coach. Jon Sewell will be the forward player coach and Neil Shaw and Shaun Gallagher will continue in a coaching capacity.

Dave Ibbotson stays as club captain and Park have retained most of their squad. One exception is centre Matt Pennington who has gone back to Caldy. Robin Saverimutto has moved in the opposite direction.
