Rugby Union: Birkenhead Park make disappointing start to their season

BIRKENHEAD PARK made a disappointing start to their North One season at Kendal.

Dan Stephens kicked an early penalty for Kendal and they gained a 13th minute try through Rob Quarry from a driving maul.

James Goff landed a drop goal early in the second period and the scoring was completed on 70 minutes when winger John Ladell put the finish touch to a good move with a touch down near the corner.

Park used their replacements to turn things round but little went right.
