WIRRAL just edged the verdict in a pulsating South Lancashire/Cheshire One clash.
Their backs did well with limited possession. There were Wirral tries via Alistair Baker, Dan Harvey, Matt Slater and Colin Davies with Harvey adding two conversions and a crucial penalty. The Islanders also achieved four tries with three of them goaled.
