Rugby Union: Widnes hang on for victory

WIDNES were made to hang on for victory in this South Lancashire/Cheshire One derby after Park closed the gap in the final quarter with their second converted try.

A Rob Critchley try and the conversion and penalty by Kevin Leadbetter earned the Heath Road side a slender 10-7 interval lead.

Phil Glover and Paul Borg added tries after the break.
