UNBEATEN Sefton sit at the head of South Lancashire/Cheshire Two League.
Their latest victory came at the expense of Oldershaw 22-14 with John James, David Carr, Brian Gardner and Mark Tyms touching down and John Fenton adding a goal.
Oldershaw had to settle for a Matt Blackmore try and three penalties by Mark Hallam.
Wallasey are a point behind Sefton after winning 29-15 at Ormskirk. Skipper Dave Maddocks, Greg McDonald, Martin Sutton, Keith Mahon and Alex Carter breached the home defence and Sutton goaled twice.
Warrington comfortably saw off Southport 33-3 but Orrell Anvils fell 19-3 against visiting Dukinfield. There was also defeat for Collegiate 21-17 at Oswestry.
Parkonians in Division Three went under 22-5 at Moore whilst Prenton lost 22-10 at Trentham where they managed tries via Joe Fisher and Roy Triggs.
Mossley Hill could not contain Isle of Man visitors Douglas in a 36-13 set back and there was little joy for Ellesmere Port who were on the wrong side of a 54-3 score at Eagle.
In Division Four West Park Warriors beat Merseyside Police 45-15 with touch-downs via John Tibbins (2), Mike Simpson, Mike Simmonds, Luke Tunstall and John Collins. Dowling kicked the other points and the Police made the score more respectable with two late tries.
Several clubs are without fixtures this weekend but there are cup engagements for some. Warrington are due at Ashton Under Lyne in the Senior Vase with Southport entertaining Garstang. Prenton are back at Trentham while in the Lancashire Plate West Park Warriors have Littleborough as visitors.
The Oldershaw v Sefton and Ormskirk v Wallasey Vase matches have already been played with wins for Sefton and Ormskirk.
