Rugby Union: Impressive Chester

CHESTER followed up a 57-7 Intermediate Cup win at Pontefract with a 72-10 demolition of Vale of Lune in North Two West at the weekend.

Chester under coach Rob Foden have adopted an expansive game plan and it is producing terrific results.

Vale were not the strongest of opponents and Chester ran them ragged with an 11-try show. Winger Simon Love secured three of them and he has certainly made a big impact after an injury lay-off.

Meanwhile, attention turns to this coming Saturday when Chester should maintain their promotion challenge at the expense of Northwich even though they will be playing away.

Not much change is envisaged as the squad builds in confidence each week.
