WIRRAL resumed winning ways in South Lancashire/Cheshire One.

Sale had to settle for a converted try and a penalty.
* OLDERSHAW reduced their minus points deficit in South Lancashire/Cheshire Two League with a 35-21 success at home to Oswestry, but still have a lot of work to do to avoid relegation.
At the top end of the table Wallasey secured a 27-8 win over Southport. Paul Lewis scored two tries, two conversions and a penalty for the winners. Craig Wilson and Greg McDonald also went in. Sefton suffered a 17-15 reverse at Warrington. Ed Fields touched down for the winners with Andrew James landing four penalties. Mark Carruthers and Neil Best crossed for Sefton with a conversion and penalty from John Fenton.
