Chester eye league title

CHESTER are more than holding their own in North Two West, winning 19-6 at Northwich to keep in the promotion picture.

It was not easy at Northwich against well-drilled opposition and they had to turn to forwards Matt Bellamy and Matt Sheen for their three tries.

Chester should find things much easier when they travel to struggling Tyldesley on Saturday.

Mike Hughes is in line for a starting place after recovering from cracked ribs. He was able to play during the second-half at Northwich.

It was a good weekend for Chester with the seconds winning against Altrincham Kersal 20-5 and the thirds beating Northwich 22-9.
