Collegiate hopes dashed by Warrington

FOLLOWING on from last week’s demolition of Orrell, Collegiate had high hopes when they hosted Warrington.

However, their form failed to materialise as they lost 9-5. Collegiate’s only score came from fly half Tom Nener, but this was cancelled out by two penalties and a neat drop goal from the visitors’ Andy James

Collegiate have a must-win game against Ashton this weekend.

The second XV beat Southport 57-0. Nathan Mainley starred with a hat-trick of tries.

The ladies’ match against Manchester was postponed.
