SEFTON sneaked victory 11-7 in the South Lancashire/Cheshire Two League cross-river derby at Wallasey with a Colin Pascoe try in the sixth minute of added time.
John Fenton had landed two penalties with Wallasey securing a Tom Cubbin touch-down and a Paul Lewis goal.
Oldershaw were pleased with an 18-18 draw at Orrell Anvils, despite cursing their luck when a last-minute conversion rebounded off a post.
Dan Atherton, Ian Jones and Tom Cassidy touched down and Mark Hallam landed a penalty.
Ormskirk saw off Southport 10-6 but there were narrow defeats for Warrington 22-20 against Oswestry and Collegiate 17-16 at Ashton on Mersey.
St Edwards maintained winning ways in Division Three, 32-12 against Parkonians. Winger Peter Stephenson secured his third try hat-trick in four games.There was also a penalty try with Martin McGeough on target with three of the conversions and a brace of penalties.
