SEFTON halted their slide in South Lancashire/Cheshire Two League with an excellent win at Wallasey.
It finished 11-7 for the Liverpool side but they left it late with an injury-time winning try.
High-riding Wallasey had surrendered the lead late on in their previous outing.
Oldershaw, on minus points in the division, were heartened by an 18-18 draw at Orrell Anvils. It could have been better but a late conversion attempt saw the ball hit an upright.
Ormskirk beat Southport 10-6 but there were narrow reverses for Collegiate 17-16 at Ashton-on-Mersey and Warrington 22-20 against Oswestry.
St Edwards kept the pressure on Douglas at the top of Division Three with a 32-12 success against Parkonians. Winger Peter Stephenson continued his remarkable try-scoring sequence with his third hat-trick in four games.
Division Four results included a 15-10 win for Port Sunlight over Marple and a 29-27 win for Merseyside Police at Capenhurst. St Mary’s crushed Helsby 50-0 but West Park Warriors went under 10-0 at the hands of Knutsford.
