CHESTER sit at the head of North Two West League after a nail-biting single-point success at Stockport.
It finished 10-9 and coach Rob Foden is determined there will be not let up ahead of Saturday’s clash with Lymm. Foden said: “The endeavour shown by all the players was something we have work on all season,.
“Their passion carried them through and now that we are top we intend to stay there.”
Winnington Park battered New Brighton 41-8 in North Two West and coach Mark Warr said: “It’s players like Will Burgess who will help turn our fortunes around.
“With players like him and other youngsters who work their socks off we shall make it good eventually.”
NORTHWICH failed to hit if off at Rochdale where they lost 5-3 in a North Two West thriller.
Saturday’s home game is against a useful Leigh side and is unlikely to bring any better fortune.
