IT WAS heartbreak again for LSH in North One as they reached the 80-minute mark one point in front of feisty rivals Cleckheaton.
Another gritty and determined performance had seen them battle back from a half-time deficit to edge ahead.
It was, however, not to be as prop Mark Chivers plunged over from close range after concerted pressure. Owen Edwards converted to seal the win.
LSH made their customary good start in the fifth minute when a lineout catch from Richie Bailey set up a drive for skipper Phil Kearns to touch down for the opening score.
Cleckheaton replied with an Edwards penalty and a try from centre Tom Lauriston before Simon Worsley slotted a penalty to make it 10-8 at half time. Worsley put LSH in front with another penalty and an excellent 40-metre drop goal.
Edwards brought the visitors to within a point with a penalty in the 66th minute to set up a pulsating finish.
