Northwich deal

NORTHWICH are set to sign a lease to remain at their Moss Farm headquarters for the next 25 years following detailed negotiations with Cheshire County Council.

Chairman Colin Naylor says: “The offer is exactly what we have been waiting for.

“Hopefully, all that needs doing now is a couple of signatures.”

Northwich have been promised a purpose-built clubhouse and an improved playing area. The county remain their landlords, but the developments will allow the Blacks to pursue their ambition of a further climb up the league structure following promotion from South East Lancashire and Cheshire Division last season.

The plan means the rugby club can develop rather than merge with Witton Albion FC.
