Rugby Union: Chester 29, Northwich 0

CHESTER maintained top place in North Two West as they completed a double over Northwich.

The scoreline possibly flattered the home side, with Northwich often having territorial advantage but being unable to break down the solid home rearguard.

Steve Roberts, on as a blood substitute, grabbed the first Chester try and others followed before half-time through Ross White and Simon Verbickas.

Gareth Martin went in soon after the break and Liam Lawton grabbed try number five short of the hour. Two conversions by Tom Foden put Chester further clear .
