Foden: Every game is a cup final now

CHESTER head North Two West and have a big chance of a semi-final place in the EDF Energy Intermediate Cup.

Their latest league win came at Northwich, 29-0.

“Every game will be like a cup final now,” said coach Rob Foden. “We are upping the ante on the training field and there is a great bond between the players who look forward to every Saturday with relish.”

Basingstoke, from London One, stand in the way of Chester in the cup while Chester now prepare for Saturday’s visit to Vale of Lune.

Meanwhile, the loss of influential centre Morne Barnardo is a big blow. He has returned home to South Africa.
