MERCHANT TAYLORS’ under-16 centre Ross O’Neill has been chosen for the North England/ Midlands side that competes in the England 16 Group Divisional festival on Sunday January 27 at Broadstreet in Coventry against a combined London SE/SW team.
The England team selected will participate in the 4 Nations Tournament in Lyon, in March.
Also chosen is winger Jordan Kennedy, the son of Sale sharks owner Brian Kennedy.
Josh Stratton from Ormskirk is amongst the replacements.
Undoubtedly one of the proudest families around with every reason to celebrate is the Ford family. Mike Ford, who played rugby league at Wigan, has been reappointed as England defence coach for the RBS 6 Nations Championship.
His 17-year-old son Joe, a fly-half, has been picked for England Schools at U18 level while other son George is in the England U16 Group, also at stand-off.
