Rugby Union: Vale of Lune 11, Chester 34

CHESTER had too much pace for a spirited Vale of Lune as they stayed top of North Two West.

Tries from Simon Abiero, skipper Sean Green and Tom Foden, plus two conversions by the latter, gave them a 19-3 lead with Vale managing one penalty.

Another successful home kick closed the gap but Chester took charge again and tries followed from John Piggott and Abiero.

There was another conversion and a penalty from Foden before the home side managed their only try in the closing stages as Chester took their foot off the gas.
