Rugby Union: Promotion hopes high for St Edwards

ST EDWARDS enhanced prospects of promotion from South Lancashire/Cheshire Three with a 31-6 success at Prenton.

Luke Naylor crossed twice and Mark Jacobson, Andy Kelly and Kristian Farrall in his first outing for two years once each. Tony Evans added three goals.

Prenton had to settle for a couple of penalties via Andrew Johnston.

Oldershaw, in Division Two, were on the wrong side of a 21-5 score line away to Oswestry.

Several games which had been re-arranged again fell victim to the weather including the Leigh v Broughton Park clash in North Two West.

There is a full resumption to the league programme this coming Saturday.
