Rugby Union: West Park 29, Morley 29

THE Merseysiders had only themselves to blame finishing up level with rivals Morley in this vital National Three North encounter.

Having trailed 15-8 at the break and 29-8 down with just half an hour remaining, Park were unable to gain a win due to silly mistakes gifting the visitors at least two of their tries.

Even fly-half Rob Hitchmough cursed himself at times with some indifferent handling.

To their credit Park seemed down and out but a tremendous revival in the last quarter when Mark Turner, skipper Stephen Briers and centre Dave Cunliffe scored tries enabled them to at least salvage some pride and three crucial points.
