Lions roar to victory

THE Caldy first team had a week’s rest this week but the Caldy Lions sent out a message to the other teams in the Bateman Premier League as well as the Caldy coaching staff with an 8-try victory at home against the visiting Broughton Park eventually winning by 60-7.

This weekend, Caldy first team are back in league action at Preston Grasshoppers.

Preston lie only three points above Caldy who presently lie in 10th place making this week’s game all important for Caldy who are keen to get back on the winning trail after the disappointment against Harrogate two weeks ago.

Caldy hope to have Richard Bradshaw back from injury but it may be that he needs another week before returning to action.

Other than that Caldy nearly have a full squad to choose from with Marcus Coast having played for the Lions this weekend following his hamstring injury some three weeks ago.
