Chester’s final bid

CHESTER take a break from league action on Saturday as they bid for a place in the last four in the EDF Energy Intermediate Cup.

Basingstoke, from London One, stand in their way at Hare Lane.

Basingstoke are higher graded but have not enjoyed the best of seasons in their division while Chester have been carrying all before them in North Two West. They sit at the top of the table after an easy success at Winnington Park.

Skipper Sean Green and James Whitelock-Wainwright will be out for the remainder of the campaign, Green after breaking a leg and Whitelock-Wainwright after a second fracture of an arm which kept him on the sidelines earlier in the season.
