Paul Reid: No slackening off for Northwich

COACH Paul Reid insists Northwich will not slacken their efforts in North Two West even though the table suggests they are clear of relegation trouble following the 13-8 defeat of Lymm.

The introduction to the pack of Chris James and Graham Robinson has brought success which skipper Steve Campbell aims to build on when he takes his side to Broughton Park on Saturday.

But a notable absentee will be front row forward Scott Hayes, who has left the country for an extended break to play rugby in Australia.

Northwich 2nd XV lie second to Sale in the North West Intermediate League after registering their 17th win in 19 games by 30-19 at Glossop.

The Blacks have some highly promising players, many of whom will be knocking on the first team door when the 2008-9 season opens.
