Collegiate reach last four

LIVERPOOL Collegiate under-15s beat Aldwinians 5-0 in the Lancashire Cup quarter-finals and will now host West Park at Liverpool Cricket Club on Sunday, March 16 in the last four.

Widnes U13s lost 27-15 to West Park in the Challenge Cup.

Park had a 12-point lead through tries from Dominic Basley and Oliver Berry, Ethan Allen adding a conversion.

In the second period winger Elliot Handler hit back with a try and Allen added a penalty.

In the Lancashire U16 Cup, Ormskirk beat Waterloo 35-5.

In the National U17 knockout competition Wirral beat Leigh in the Plate 20-5.

Thornensians beat Widnes 19-13 and Waterloo lost at Pontefract in the Shield 29-5.

In the annual Sevens at Birkenhead RUFC at the weekend Kirkham GS carried off the North of England title, beating Hymers College 19-17. In the Plate Birkenhead School lost in the quarter-finals to Ermysteds 21-19.
