LSH’s great display

LSH continued their fight for North One survival with a magnificent display.

Three tries in each half was reward for a battling performance engineered from full-back by the returning Mark Dickinson.

A try from Martin McGeogh in the second minute after good work from all the backs gave LSH a confidence boost and they never looked back.

Ten minutes later a drive from Alan Chadwick and Gareth Tudor produced quick ball for Simon Worsley to send in winger Ashley Stuart for the second try.

Skipper Phil Kearns touched down a pushover try before the visitors were awarded a penalty try just before the break leaving LSH 19-7 in front.

LSH extended their lead with a penalty try after 46 minutes followed by a fine try from centre Jeff Foulkes 10 minutes later. An excellent 50-metre solo effort from Ashley Worsfold rounded off the scoring for LSH with the impressive centre then landing his fifth conversion of the afternoon.

Michael Tebbs scored a late try for the visitors.
