Like father, like son

FORMER Wigan Warrior and GB Rugby League star Andy Farrell’s son Owen is a chip off the old block if his performance in the England U16 warm-up game against Bath U17 Academy side is anything to go by.

At inside centre he combined superbly with stand off George Ford, son of England defence coach Mike, to help pull off a convincing 54-7 win before the squad set off in confident mood for the 4 Nations Tournament in France.

Ormskirk can be justifiably proud of their achievements across the board this season with five of their junior sides, ranging from U13-U16, qualifying for the Blacksticks Blue Junior Challenge semi-finals due to take place on Sunday March 16.
