Rugby Union: Wallasey 17, Moore 15

THE Lees Cheshire Plate holders Wallasey produced a late scoring rally to overcome Moore and book a place in the May final.

With a 15-point lead early in the final quarter Moore had looked home and dry but Ben O’Donnell gave Wallasey hope with a try and two more followed via Ben Edwards, after a length-of-the-field dash, and Dan Kilty in the 80th minute.

It was then down to Paul Lewis to land the last conversion to set up a repeat final against Crewe and Nantwich.
