CALDAY GRANGE GS under-15s could experience a day to remember if they can beat Langley Park Boys’ School at Twickenham this morning and put their hands on the Daily Mail Vase (kick-off 11am).
The team should be near full strength with much responsibility resting on the shoulders of fly-half Alex Eagles who is having a great season.
On the wide spaces of the hallowed turf of Twickenham his tactical kicking could be vital providing his pack get a fair share of possession.
Wingers Jake Collins and Matt Ross have enough pace to cause concern who will be aware that they both ran in tries as did skipper Ben Sparke in the semi-final win over KCS Wimbledon.
Since then the squad have prepared methodically under coaches Paul Miller and Parent John Sparke. They had a brief trip to Italy recently and this week left for London on Monday.
Two coach loads of supporters will have left early this morning from the Wirral. They will be hoping to make enough noise to encourage the Wirral lads to settle down quickly into the game and play to their ability.
It could be quite an occasion to cherish.
