The following Friday, April 18, sees the first ever Girls Tag Rugby Festival. Year 7 students from 11 secondary schools part having received coaching in preparation for the Festival. Rugby Football Union for Women (RFUW) president Gill Burns MBE will meet those taking part and present the medals.

Meanwhile LSH are preparing for their crucial North One encounter against Hull at Moss Lane on Saturday needing a win to stay in the fight to avoid relegation.

“We know what is required and the lads are ready to give their all,” said coach Paul Woodward.
