Sam Naylor sets his targets for Northwich

NORTHWICH may need to win at least one of their two remaining games to preserve their North Two West status after the RFU decided that three clubs should be relegated.

After their fine 16-6 win over Winnington Park, Northwich lead Vale of Lune by two points, with the bottom two Winnington and Tyldesley definitely relegated, but chairman Sam Naylor said: “After our fine form we dare not let it slip now. Vale of Lune are snapping at our heels and we must set out to beat Rochdale on Saturday and also win at Leigh on April 19.”

Northwich round-off their season with an eagerly-awaited Cheshire Vase final against Sandbach at Winnington Park on May 5.
