Simon Mason suffers big blow for Caldy Lions

FORMER Ireland international Simon Mason marred an excellent performance for Caldy Lions by breaking his tibia and fibula in a 42-5 win over Lymm.

Lymm conceded the game due to the severity of Mason’s injury, and he underwent and operation on Sunday to have his leg pinned.

This week is the final home game of the season for the first XV as they take on Morley.

The day also coincides with the Past Captains and Players Dinner at the club.

Caldy seconds travel to Preston and the thirds host Whitchurch.
