Postponed games mean relegation issues set to go into extra time

THE South Lancs/Cheshire One relegation issues are unlikely to be decided this Saturday on what is officially the last round of league action.

Aspull and Ruskin Park, who are among the bottom three, had their weekend games postponed and will replay them on April 26.

Anselmians who are level – all have 10 points – could not take advantage losing 34-15 to Wigan. They must now produce a top display at Widnes this weekend.

Wilmslow will be promoted and Burnage are favourites to finish runners-up although there is a glimmer of hope for Wigan who host Wirral.

Wirral and Hoylake will finish in mid table. Hoylake who ran Wilmslow to three points in their last game can do Anselmians a favour by beating Ruskin Park at Melrose Avenue although thy have a number of injury problems.

Aspull are due at Bowdon who are safe in fifth bottom position.
