Liverpool’s trophy win

LIVERPOOL Collegiate Under-12s got their hands on some silverware at the Wilmslow Tournament winning all their games in a very strong field including the likes of Terenure from Ireland and Caldy and Ormskirk.

Jonny Davidson grabbed the winner against hosts Wilmslow in a gruelling final.

West Park’s Dominic Basley scored the match-winning try seven minutes from the end to beat Ormskirk U13s 22-17.

Ormskirk had arrived with a big reputation having won the Blacksticks Blue Plate.

Sefton host the 20th Lancashire Blacksticks Blue Junior Cup finals day on Sunday.

Sunday kicks off at 11am with the Preston Grasshoppers v West Park U13s final.

Over 100 teams representing 35 clubs have taken part in the various competitions.
