BIRKENHEAD PARK finished their North One season on a high note running out 56-5 winners over Middlesbrough to finish fourth – their highest league finish since 1988.
Park put on a fine display for the past players attending the annual reunion lunch and ran in nine tries.
Hooker Chris Jones claimed his 32nd try of the season and also was presented with the player of the year trophy at the players awards night.
Andy Trotter was named man of the match and grabbed two tries including a last-minute interception.
The Park Wanderers have ensured survival in the Bateman BMW Premiership after Waterloo conceded the scheduled game due to tour commitments.
