Cheshire’s new influx

CHESHIRE will have a big influx of Manchester players when they start their county Championship programme against Yorkshire at Macclesfield tomorrow.

There are now fewer than eight representatives from the National Two side but there are some locally-based players in the starting line-up led by breakaway forward Jon Sewell from Birkenhead Park.

Caldy provide winger Craig Ross, centre Marcus Coast, props Gavin Woods and Matt Holt and number eight Sam Dickinson. Holt is in his final season as a player and is among several new caps.

Ian Murray and Derek Salisbury from Caldy along with Christian Jones from Birkenhead Park are on the bench.
