CALDY Rugby Club celebrated a fitting end of the season as six players featured in the County side which lost 20-13 to Yorkshire before holding their annual Caldy Sevens festival.
The event saw some fantastic rugby with the eventual winners of the Cup being the mighty Minnows who failed at the final hurdle last year in a pulsating final against a Wharfedale.
Tom Foden of the Mighty Minnows was voted the Player of the Final for his individual performance.
In the plate final while Manchester University managed to beat Chester in another close game. A total of 24 teams played in the event which was an all round success despite the indifferent weather and the early showers.
A superb finish to the season for the under-16s saw them beatŠAnselmians in the final of the Cheshire Plate. Monday saw the finale to the season at the annual Awards day.
