Collegiate struggle as lack of numbers takes its toll

COLLEGIATE will be looking to bounce back against Eagle this weekend after their 21-7 defeat at the hands of Oldershaw.

Decimated by injuries and non-availability last weekend’s match took a heavy toll against a massive and well drilled Oldershaw pack who dominated proceedings and starved the Aigburth side of possession throughout as they found themselves 14-0 down very early on.

Dave Proctor’s try proving the only consolation as Chris Lloyd converted.

The 2nd XV stormed to a 66-12 win over Bowdon at Liverpool Cricket Club to maintain their 100% league record.

They ran in 10 tries with man of the match Paul Eastwood getting a brace. They face a tough trip to Birkenhead Park next Saturday and hope for more of the same.

The 3rd XV are still looking for their first victory of the season after they went down 26-7 at Wirral.

The Ladies have a huge trip to Morpeth in Northumberland on Sunday
