Wyart Lane, from Spurs fanzine My Eyes Have Seen The Glory
What do you think of Tottenham’s start to the season – keep it brief if possible!
Shocking start, but starting to pick up now under Harry Redknapp. Mind you, one loss and we can be right back down there, so we still need to string a few more results together.
Be honest – did you want Ramos out before he was finally given the push?
It’s one of those things where a change had to be made before things went too far to recover from. Not sure that it was all Ramos’ fault, perhaps it was the players’ lack of application after the League Cup win in February last season.
What’s been the biggest change Harry has made so far?
Tactically, he has kept Ramos’ 4-4-1-1 formation when Modric is playing, but has managed to make it work. We are now playing a more accepted 4-4-2, which also works, even though Bent and Pavlyuchenko are not supposed to be able to play together.
Who is your star man of the moment?
I am spoiled for choice now, as compared to the start of the season. Lennon, Modric and Pavlyuchenko have flowered under Hangdog Harry, but the one I think has profited most is Tom Huddlestone.
Any new songs for the travelling fans to listen out for at White Hart Lane?
Look out for The Park pub which is next to Northumberland Park BR station – it is now a pile of rubble. It was one of the pubs near the ground that welcomed away fans.
Which Everton player would you have in the Spurs side? To make the question harder, it must be an outfield player!
I am not sure that Gomes is as much of a clown as the press make out. But I think Arteta is a fine player. Good on the ball and deadly from set-pieces, which is where we fall down at the moment.
Everton have beaten Spurs on their last two visits – fancy them making it a hat-trick?
It might have been the case if Andy Johnson was still a Blue, but he has scored against us already. None of our games have featured many goals and neither have Everton’s, so it will be tight and I will go for a 1-1 draw.
