Mark Lawrenson: There’s no need to find us keeeprs
YOU know it’s been a bad weekend for goalkeepers when Tim Howard and Pepe Reina start throwing them in.
But they weren’t alone. Scott Carson, Chris Kirkland, Robert Green and Manuel Almunia all had weekends they will want to forget.
I think Howard was thinking about throwing the ball out before he had finished collecting it. A lapse of concentration I don’t think he will repeat.
Reina was clearly a bit panicked by the ball coming off the post and back to him but there’s only one way to deal with these errors as far as the clubs are concerned.
Remind them they are world class goalkeepers and move on.
