Mark Lawrenson: Manchester United are still favourites for the Premier League, but City are by no means out of it, despite what Roberto Mancini says

I HAVE been critical of Roberto Mancini during the last two or three months over some of the things he has said to his players.

But he has been cute in taking the pressure off Manchester City by saying they can’t win the league.

Now they are in a position where they could.

Next Monday will see arguably the biggest Manchester derby there has ever been, and City will be very much up for the game.

The strike partnership of Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez is as good a pairing as any in the Premier League.

City can beat United, and their forward options will frighten the neighbours.

But while City can win the league, I still think United will.
