SO FERNANDO Torres is to seek showdown talks over his future at Chelsea in the belief he hasn’t been treated well during his time at the club.
This just days after the ultimate justification his decision to leave Liverpool was the correct one.
Seeing Torres help Chelsea lift the Champions League, a fortnight after claiming an FA Cup winners’ medal at Wembley, would have hurt the Anfield faithful.
But, for Torres, clearly winning isn’t everything.
The striker was evidently unhappy before the penalty shoot-out in Munich that he wouldn’t be taking a spot kick.
And that, it seems, was the last straw.
Torres is at his best when at his most content, and that came during his first two-and-a-half years at Anfield. He won’t find happiness at Chelsea.
And you fear he never will again – anywhere.
