TRANMERE'S summer departures and arrivals.

DEPARTURES

Gavin Ward, goalkeeper. Released and joined Chester City as goalkeeping coach.

Kevin Ellison, midfielder. Transferred to Chester City for an undisclosed fee.

Danny Harrison, midfielder. Released and signed for Rotherham United.

Chris McCready, defender. Released and re-signed for his first club Crewe Alexandra.

Oliver James, utility player. Released and signed for Forest Green Rovers in the Conference.

Jason McAteer, player-coach. Released, now considering his career options.

ARRIVALS

Antony Kay, defender, signed from Barnsley.

Ben Chorley, defender, signed from MK Dons.

Danny Coyne, goalkeeper, signed from Burnley.

Adnan Ahmed, midfielder, signed from Huddersfield.

PLAYERS WHO SIGNED NEW CONTRACTS

John Achterberg: two-year deal as goalkeeping coach.

Danny Holmes, Michael Johnston, Paul Henry and Mike Jones signed new, one-year deals.
