MANAGER Ronnie Moore says he will not be rushed into panic measures as Tranmere attempt to break a sequence of two early-season defeats in the League One encounter at Gillingham this afternoon.
Changes could be on the cards in the Rovers line-up but they are more likely to be influenced by injuries and long-planned tactical adjustments than the manager’s dissatisfaction with the performance of his players so far.
Moore said: “The temptation is always there to change things when you lose two games.
“If we were struggling performance-wise I might go down that route.
“But anyone who watched our games against Leeds and Stockport will have seen there is no need to panic.”
Rovers have fitness doubts over striker Chris Greenacre (back) and winger Chris Shuker (calf).
A change of formation is a possibility if Moore decides to act on plans to adopt a more cautious approach on the road this season.
Gillingham also started the season with two defeats and manager Ronnie Jepson has the additional problem of dealing with three red cards in those matches for defenders Ian Cox and Effe Sodje and also midfielder Steve Lomas.
